Associate Communications Officer

Core Team

Organisation Overview
The Institute for Transformative Technologies (ITT) was created in 2014, with the belief that a fundamentally new generation of breakthrough technologies—along with a new paradigm of innovative business models—is required to sustainably address the major problems facing developing countries and the global poor.

In 2015, ITT published the groundbreaking 50 Breakthroughs study, which identifies the most important technology breakthroughs required for sustainable global development, across the range of issues affecting the global poor. ITT’s mission is to bring to life a subset of these breakthrough technologies. As of 2016, we have made strong progress towards identifying a number of high-impact early-stage technologies, developing them into market-ready products, and commercializing them. 2017 has been a very crucial year in our journey, in which a number of technologies and technology-enabled services have begun to demonstrate significant impact in demanding markets. Our work to date has been supported by The Rockefeller Foundation, the Tata Trusts, the Schmidt Family Foundation, The Lemelson Foundation, USAID and DfID.
